Daniel X. Thomas | Senior Consultant | BDPE München

Daniel X. Thomas has been active in intellectual property for over 50 years– the majority of the time as an Examiner and Director at the EPO.

He is a trained electronics engineer and began his career in the patent system in 1971. He also headed departments at the European Patent Office in various fields of electronics, physics and mechanics.

Daniel also acts as a consultant in opposition and infringement proceedings for various (patent) law firms, patent agents and technical companies throughout Europe.

Although he retired from active service in 2013, he continues to be active in the field of intellectual property.

He regularly conducts workshops and seminars on various aspects/topics of the European grant procedure.
