Biography:

• Daniel X. Thomas is an electronics engineer by training. He started his career in the patent field in 1971 and last headed departments at the European Patent Office in various fields of electronics, physics and mechanics.
• Although he retired from active service in 2013, he continues to work in the field of Intellectual Property.
• He hosts workshops and seminars relating to various aspects/subjects of the European granting procedure.
• Daniel X. Thomas also works as a consultant in IP matters for various firms around Europe including (patent) law firms, patent representatives and technology specialised companies.
